Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and veteran actress and politician Jaya Bachchan are celebrating the 47 years of togetherness on Wednesday.
Big B took to Twitter and recalled how he decided to go for a vacation in London to celebrate the success of ‘Zanjeer’ and wanted to take Jaya Bachchan along. But he explains further how the story went on.
Big B shared his marriage photos which definitely is a treat to watch. He wrote, “T 3550 – 47 years .. today .. June 3, 1973 .. !! Had decided if ‘Zanjeer’ succeeded we, with few friends would go to London, first time, to celebrate .. Father asked who you going with ? When I told him who he said, you will marry her then go .. else you don’t go ..

Not many are aware that it was not the silver screen where Amitabh and Jaya met for the first time! Amitabh Bachchan had taken a good look at Jaya Bhaduri (then) on the cover of a magazine. It was film Guddi, that marked their first-ever collaboration together, and eventually, the two fell in love with each other.
Few remarkable films both did together are Zanjeer, Abhimaan, Mili, Chupke Chupke, Sholay, and Silsila.
