Angry People Want A Ban Over This Ad About Lord Ganesha; Here’s Why!

Religion is a very sensitive thing; anything related to this can create huge controversies. There are several religions in the world and everyone has its own beliefs.  Going against the belief of any religion can hurt sentiments of lots of people.

No one has authority to label any religion “Good” or “Bad”, respecting everyone’s faith is more important. Everyone should care about everyone else. But every now and then, someone fails to understand the sentiments attached to any religion.

Recently, an Australian is landed itself in a huge controversy, all thanks to the content. Hindus are furious on the makers of this ad, where Lord Ganesha is seen eating meat. It’s not FAKE, it is an ad campaign for Meat and Livestock (MLA). This ad is considered the biggest campaign in the country.

This ad shows religious leaders from different religions sitting together and eating lamb. It is obvious that Hindus didn’t like this ad. Hindus are furious with Ganpati eating lamb. Various religious leaders like Ron Hubbard, Lord Buddha, Lord Ganesha, Obi Wan Kenobi from Star Wars, Moses, Zeus, Aphrodite, Moses and Jesus Christ are seen in this ad.

The Hindus of Australia are very hurt over this matter. People have started slamming the makers for showing such lack of sensitivity towards the Hindus.

Hindu community in Australia has sought for a ban on the ad.  The spokesperson of the Hindu Community, Nitin Vashisht said that the ad lacks ethics and should be withdrawn quickly.

Andrew Howie, the marketing manager said, “We know that lamb has been the meat that brings everyone together for decades, and what better way to celebrate the product than over a modern spring barbecue.”

The Advertising Standards Bureau over there has already got around 30 complaints till now. We’ll have to wait and watch to see what happen next.
