The actress Sonam Kapoor married her bf Anand Ahuja on 8th May 2018. A splendid marriage was followed by reception that was attended by most of the prominent Bollywood celebrities. The marriage had been creating buzz, and the whole social media was trying to capture each and every moment of the occasion.
The couple is consistently making headlines for some of the other reason even after the marriage.
It was noticed that Sonam changed her name to ‘Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’ on her Twitter and Instagram accounts. This action of hers was trolled by haters claiming to be a feminist she had changed her name. Sonam commented on this topic saying it’s her personal choice.
The actress shared her thoughts to Indian Express quoting “I have always said that I am a feminist. I have the choice to change my name to what I want to. Kapoor is also my father’s name. So it is a man’s name anyway which way. I chose to keep both the surnames. Anand has also changed his name but nobody wrote about that. I just decided to do it on social media because that’s my platform to say that I have made a choice. It is my personal choice, and nobody had put a gun to my head. You should ask him (Anand). He has also changed his name, and decided to add something as well”
Anand Ahuja also changed his name to Anand S. Ahuja. Anand’s action was enough to shut down trollers and haters. Twitterati’s named him as a perfect better half.
