Fans were disappointed as they came to know that the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah are looking for a replacement of Disha Vakani. Disha Vakani known as Daya Ben rose to fame with her character from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
The producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah had said in a statement, “There are women who take maternity breaks and then resume work. We have given Disha leave, and now, we cannot wait more so will have to start looking for a new Dayaben. They revealed that they have to replace her, for the audience who have been waiting for Daya’s return. And it’s said, the show must go on.”
The latest buzz is that Ami Trivedi has been finalised for playing Dayaben on screen. When producer Asit Kumarr Modi was contacted and asked to comment on this matter, he denied finalising Amit Trivedi or any other actress so far and said they are still searching for the right character.
In an interview with Papad pol actress Ami, She said that she is not in contact with the makers, leave aside getting finalised for the show. Her family members and relatives are encouraging her take up the role as they are not of the opinion that she suits the character perfectly.
