In an interaction with Filmfare, Alia Bhatt shared that while she hasn’t been depressed, she’s been having bouts of anxiety since the past few months. She has been quoted as saying, âI havenât been depressed but Iâve had bouts of anxiety. It comes and goes. Itâs been happening quite a bit since the past five to six months. Itâs not like an anxiety attack but I just feel low. Thankfully, Iâm aware of it because of my sister. Sheâs fought depression. Iâve read her book. No matter how bad it is, I just let myself feel it. Then it passes. Initially, Iâd be a little confused. Iâd constantly give reasons that itâs because of work or maybe Iâm tired or havenât been able to meet anyone… The kind of personality I have, I become a little on the edge,â she said.

Alia Bhatt said that she’s spoken to her friends about it including Ayan Mukerji, the director of her upcoming film Brahmastra. “I spoke to friends about it. I spoke to Ayan about it, I spoke to my sisterâs friend Rohan (Joshi). Everyone told me that youâve got to realise that it will go away. Whatâs important is to accept it and not say that youâre fine. If youâre not feeling fine, then you should just say youâre not feeling fine,â she was quoted as saying.
