Alia Bhatt avoids intimate scenes in Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ due to COVID-19!
Alia Bhatt’s next project with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ has dropped a love sequence between the actress and her love interest from the script, given to the severe guidelines pertaining to social distancing.
The love scene between Alia Bhatt and her on-screen love interest played by dancer-turned actor Shantanu Maheshwari was cut from the script as Bhansali has decided to do away with physical intimacy and will follow the guidelines to maintain social distancing on shooting locations once the lockdown is completed.
The movie revolves around the life of a powerful woman in the 60s, by the name Gangubai Kothewali, who was also known as the ‘Madam of Kamathipura’ for her connections with the underworld.
Talking about this new normal, an industry insider said, “I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry in these troubled times. Physical intimacy would definitely be avoided in Bhansali’s shooting. He will find another way of showing a romantic closeness.”
