Ali Asgar is one of the finest actor-comedian working in Indian television industry. He is known for portraying various characters on small screens. His antics have made him popular among viewers. He can also do mimicry of several known celebrities. He received wide recognization when he appeared on popular comedy shows like Comedy Nights With Kapil and TKSS.
Recently, Ali Asgar was the host of 17th Indian Television Academy Awards. He was paired with popular host Manish Paul and the duo made everyone laugh on several occasions during the event. Their jokes and skits were impressive.
Many popular stars from television industry graced the event. The actors present at the event were Rohan Mehra, Vivian Dsena, Ravi Dubey, Mansi Srivastava, Mouni Roy, Rubina Dilaik, Nakuul Mehta, Avika Gor, Arjun Bijlani, Surbhi Chandna, Kanchi Singh and Jennifer Winget. Popular producer and TV queen Ekta Kapoor was also present at the award show.
During the award show, Ali Asgar came on stage dressed as TV queen Ekta Kapoor. He imitated her and called introduced as “Ek Thi Kapoor”, which made everyone burst into laughter.
Ekta Kapoor was also seen enjoying the moment and took the joke sportingly. She replied to Ali:
“You should be glad that you are in Anu Malik’s show. Had you been on my show, you’d have been replaced by now.”
Ekta further added that she loves Ali and then laugh.
