Akshay Kumar’s Toilet – Ek Prem Katha Into A Legal Trouble In Mathura!

Akshay Kumar is currently busy with his upcoming project Toilet - Ek Prem Katha, which also star Dum Laga Ke Haisha Fame Bhumi Pednekar. As per the latest news, The film may turn into a legal trouble if they go against the age old local traditions of Mathura. Actually, a Mathura based lawyer has threatened the film director to not to go against their old age tradition of Nandgaon and Nandgaon. Here's what the lawyer Gokalesh Katara explained, "Lord Krishna was a resident of Nandgaon and Radha, his beloved, was from Barsana and their ‘pious love’ is depicted during Holi festival organised every year. The tradition not to have marriages between boys and girls from these two villages continues." The film shoot is currently going in full swing in the Braj Region of Nandgaon village. Even local people have heard a scene where it says, "Nandgaon ka chhora and Barsana ki chhori (boy from Nandgaon and girl from Barsana)". Gokalesh Katara also added, "There had been scenes of a baraat moving from a school premises. Based on media reports, we have come to know that the story somehow revolves around marriage links between Nandgaon and Barsana villages of Mathura. There is a population of about 200 Muslims in Nandgaon and about 1,000 Muslims in Barsana but they too have been cooperative enough to maintain this tradition and don’t have inter-village marriages." Katara also goes on to say, "If the movie depicts marriage between people of Nandgaon and Barsana, a legal notice would be served to the director of movie for hurting sentiments of people from these two villages. We would ask the makers of the movie to provide us the script and then only a decision to proceed legally would begin." Reportedly, Priests of the two villages also raised their voice against the film and called a mahapanchayat to discuss the matter for the future of the film shooting. On the other hand, Ajay Kumar Awasthi, ADM (execution), Mathura,"We had been busy with the governor’s programme and as such no one came to meet us today," He also added, "there are sufficient security arrangements for the film unit shooting in the rural belt of Mathura." Overall, this legal trouble may cause serious consequences to the shooting schedules and even may stop the on-going shoots. Let's see how the makers will going to deal with this situation.
