Akshay Kumar on fan’s wedding card

Fans are known to go to great lengths to make their obsession for stars known. From sending actors letters written in blood to getting the names of their favourite films tattooed on their bodies, Bollywood fandom knows no bounds.

The latest — and rather unique — gesture has been one made by an Akshay Kumar fan. An insider informs us that a man named Vijendra Singh from Kolhapur somehow managed to send the actor his wedding card.

When Akshay opened the envelope, he couldn’t stop smiling. “The fan had got two of Akshay’s photographs printed on the invitation card right next to where details about the function were written,” says the source.

Apparently, Akshay, who was witnessing something like this for the first time, was very humbled and overwhelmed. “Under the photographs, the wedding card also read ‘Fan of Akshay Kumar’,” adds the source.

The wedding is set to take place in March. However, Akshay won’t be able to attend it as he has a packed schedule for the next few months.

Followers galore
Incidentally, this is just one of the many bizarre fan moments that Akshay has experienced. Only a few days back, another admirer sent him a special cake with his photograph — in his look from director Neeraj Pandey’s Baby — printed on it.

Last year, Akshay’s film Boss (2014) entered the Guinness Book of World Records for having the largest poster after his fan club made one over a period of four months. It beat Michael Jackson’s This Is It (2009), which held the record until then. “It’s a matter of honour. I thank everyone who made this possible,” Akshay had said at the time
