'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's Song Used In Salman Khan's Movie! - Filmymantra

‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’s Song Used In Salman Khan’s Movie!

Even as the title song of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ is topping the charts, composer Pritam Chakraborty reveals that he had initially composed two options for the track, one of which ended up being used in Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.

Penned by lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya, the title song of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer has been sung by Arijit Singh. The film’s music composer Pritam recently revealed that it’s other version took the shape of ‘Tu Jo Mila’ from last year’s blockbuster.

Pritam was quoted as saying, “I had composed two options for the title track. One is the same title track ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, as you hear it now. Since the choice was made, the other track I used it in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.”

He further added, “So, if you take ‘Kyunki Tu Dhadkan Main Dil’ you can easily put it as ‘Kyunki Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. So, I had composed that song as an option for Ae Dil. Later, when this came in (ADHM title track), that song became Tu Jo Mila and it was going immensely well in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.”

Karan Johar’s upcoming romantic saga also stars Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan. While Ranbir Kapoor plays the part of a singer in the film, Arijit Singh will be singing all his songs.

‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ marks Karan Johar’s return to direction after his four year hiatus with his last directorial being “Student of the Year” (2012). The composer goes on to explain the kind of mood he wanted to create for this Karan Johar project.

He said, “The film is about unrequited love, so songs actually depend upon the situation, characters. Though we don’t generally associate pure romantic melodies with Karan, this movie is much more intense.”

According to the composer, the film’s music album will be out by the end of September and will be a mixed bag of intense, romantic and fun songs.
