Film clashes at the box office always have churned up spicy news items, giving rise to rumours of cold wars between production houses and ugly splits between actors and directors.
But in August we witnessed one such big box office clash between Akshay Kumar’s Rustom and Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro, Hrithik and Akshay set an example in the industry when they extended heart felt warmth and best wishes for each other’s films.
Taking the legacy forward, Fox Star studios has decided to play it fair in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil clash with Shivaay on Diwali(October 28). Karan Johar’s directorial starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan has been receiving humongous response since its teaser release.
On the other hand, Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay too has its fair share of fan following, and has also have received a great response.
According to a report by an entertainment portal, Fox Star Studios, the distributors of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil have asked similar number of screens for both ADHM and Shivaay.
Well, if the reports are true then it will the first time in the history of Indian cinema for a distributor to indulge in such fair play. And honestly, for an industry which is having serious jolts from big numbers fetched by regional cinema, supporting each other could take a long way.
While both the films belong to two entirely different genre, Shivaay being an action thriller and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil being a romantic drama, trailers of both films have intrigued the audience who are awaiting the release of both films!
Both films are set to hit the big screens on October 28, 2016.
