Amitabh Bachchan’s niece do not want to be a product of Nepotism? Navya says…….
Despite being born into a family deeply rooted in Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, defied expectations by choosing not to pursue a career in acting. In an earlier interview, Navya revealed her ambitions to join her father, Nikhil Nanda’s business, instead of following the traditional family path. She recently elaborated on her decision in a conversation with Barkha Dutt, clarifying that acting was never a serious consideration for her.
During the joint interview with her mother, Shweta Bachchan, Navya shared her perspective on choosing business over cinema. “I enjoy dancing and such activities, but it was never something I saw as a professional pursuit. I have always been more inclined towards the business world,” she stated. Navya emphasized the strong influence of the women in her family, including her grandmother Ritu Nanda and aunt Nitasha, who were actively involved in their family’s business ventures. “My grandmother and aunt were both working women and contributed to the family business in various capacities. My father and grandfather would seek their opinions on important matters,” she recalled.
Navya expressed her pride in being the fourth generation of the Nandas to take on this responsibility and the desire to carry forward their legacy. “I wanted to support my dad and everything he’s built, to be part of something that has been in my family for so long. Being the woman in the family and taking that forward was always something that excited me more. It’s a matter of pride,” she said.
While her lineage might suggest a natural transition to acting, Navya has made it clear that she never felt drawn to the profession. Instead, her focus remains on making her mark in the business world and continuing her family’s entrepreneurial legacy.
