The said Bollywood actor was unknown at that time. It was obvious that Alka would find it creepy that someone is continuously staring at her while she is singing. The creepy stare led him into trouble and he was thrown out of the room.
“I noticed this young guy sitting quietly but looking at me non-stop. Initially, I ignored him and carried on with my rehearsals, but when the recording started, I was uncomfortable. When you are singing and someone stares at you, you get distracted. So, I asked him to leave.”
The incident took place during the Qayamat se Qayamat tak days. The movie which released in 1988 was an Indian romantic drama. It was during those days when Alka Yagnik was recording a song in the studio, a guy sitting in the audience couldn’t stop staring at her. This was distracting her and so she told him to leave the room immediately.
Later, she was introduced to the same guy by the director, Mansoor Khan. Mansoor introduced him as the one who is going to play the Lead role in the movie. And surprisingly that was guy was Aamir Khan. Even now when they meet each other, they recollect these memories and have a hearty laugh at it. These same light-hearted moments turn into good memories that we cherish later.
