Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif starrer Thugs of Hindostan was regarded as the biggest films in the history of Bollywood. However, upon release, it ended up becoming the biggest disaster of the year. Every trade analyst was expecting it to earn in the range of Rs. 350 to 450 crore, but TOH grossed just 150 Crore at Indian Box office. Thugs of Hindostan was such a failure that even small film like Badhaai Ho earned more than this.
From fans to critics, everyone brutally slammed the movie. The social media was flooded with countless memes and jokes. Finally, Aamir Khan broke his silence in a recent media interaction.
Entertainment journo Faridoon Shahryar took to Twitter to share what Aamir said.
Aamir said, “We went wrong with #ThugsOfHindostan. I’d like to take full responsibility for that. We tried our level best.Koshish mein koi kasar nahin chhodi.Kahin na kahin hum ghalat Gaye”
He further added, “Kuch logon ko #ThugsOfHindostan pasand aayi hai n hum unka shukriya ada karna chahenge but vo minority mein hain.Zyadatar logon ko film pasand nahin aayi aur is baat ka hamein ahsaas hai”
Apologizing to fans, Aamir said, “I want to apologise ki is dafa main unko vo entertain nahin kar paaya.Koshish hamne poori ki thee lekin jo log itne expectation se aaye unko maza nahin http://aaya.Im feeling bad that we were not able to entertain”
He also added, “I’m feeling bad that we didn’t succeed in entertaining the http://audience.Next time we shall try harder”
