A Twitter User Tried To Troll Karan Johar Over Nepotism, Karan Shuts Him Down With Gully Boy Type Reply

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy directed by Zoya Akhtar is getting rave reviews from critics and moviegoers alike. The movie is also doing phenomenal business at the box office receiving praise from all around the world. People from all walk of life are resonating with the underdog story of the film quite well.

Now, it seems that popular filmmaker Karan Johar is also all praise for the film. Recently, he took to Twitter praising director Zoya Akhtar and the team for the film. He even went on to call Gully Boy his favorite film and Zoya Akhtar as his favorite director. The ace filmmaker was unable to express his thoughts in the limited 240 words of Twitter so he opted for Instagram to write the complete post.

Karan tweeted, “I wish Twitter had more than 280 characters for all the brilliant characters of #gullyboy so had to take to Instagram to share my thoughts on this incredible film and my favourite film this decade! Zoya Akhtar is my favourite filmmaker!”

Twitterati also loved his Tweet but one of the social media users tried to troll the filmmaker calling him “Nepotism ki mulle”, which loosely means “head of nepotism”.

Ever since popular Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut called Karan “flag bearer of nepotism” while appearing on his popular chat show Koffee With Karan, the filmmaker has been trolled for launching star kids through his production house many times.

However, it looks like Karan was not in the mood of letting his troll get away easily. He gave a perfect reply to the troll in epic Gully Boy style. He replied, “Chup kar aur picture dekh!!!!! (Shut up and watch the movie!)”
