Bollywood upcoming movie āUdta Punjabā has a lot of surprises stored for the audience. Recently, we have already witnessed the gritty look of Shahid Kapoor and his hippy avatar Tommy Singh. Now he has surprised us with the new party song āChitta Veā. Ā The trailer has already garnered appreciation from the fans and now this song seems like hitting the right note.
Shahid Kapoor starrer film āUdta Punjabā movie deals with the drug addiction phenomena which has its roots in the remotest areas of Punjab. With the Trailer, it seems like the film tackles the drug addiction issue in a serious way. The other unique thing about this movie is, there is four protagonists in the story and the film revolves around their life.
Shahid song āChitta Veā is the song for the youth. Itās about living the life without fear, no regret and just enjoy. The song is intense and blunt. The song is sung by Babu Haabi , Shahid Mallya, and Bhanu Pratap. Composer Amit Trivedi must be given credit for coming up with such a Party Anthem song. More on it, Shahid justifies its role and performed insanely in this grooving number.
Apart from Shahid, the film also stars Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in titular roles. Well, we talk a lot about Shahid already. The other actress who is grabbing the eyeballs is Chirpy girl Alia Bhatt. Alia is essaying the role of a Bihari Migrant who dwells in the remotest area of Punjab. She also turns into a drug addict in the film.
If we take a look again at the song āChitta Veā, you will find that in one of a scene Alia and Shahid is running away from police. Chasing them, Diljit looks quite promising in the role of Police cop. Even Kareena looks perfect in the doctorās role.
Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the film is set to release on June 17.
