“Kapil doesn’t do scenes just on the basis of what’s written on paper” – Manjari Fadnis
Two years back, she had enjoyed back to back releases. Though Warning couldn’t do much theatrically, her ensemble affair Grand Masti was a 100 crore Superhit. Now Manjari Fadnis would be seen in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon where she is playing one of the three wives of Kapil Sharma.
“Yes, this one is an out and out fun film and it is all so crazy; it is so much fun,” says Manjari, who showed a good comic timing in Grand Masti as well, “Even on paper, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon was so much fun. Moreover, since Kapil is a part of it, the fun quotient is exponential.”
Manjari admits that with Kapil around, each of the actresses had to be on the toes.
“While we were performing the scenes, it was rest assured that Kapil won’t just do scenes basis what’s written paper. He would spontaneously do something and take it to an altogether different level. As a result, a scene would turn out to be much better than what was on the paper,” reveals Manjari.
Meanwhile, other than Kapil of course leading the show, Manjari was also surrounded by other leading ladies like Elli Avram, Simran Kaur Mundi and Sai Lokar. How did the girl bonding take place on the sets?
Smiles Manjari, “Normally people think that so many actresses together would be a recipe for disaster, what with cat fights and all. However, I have been lucky to find good female co-stars. Yes, I had certain bad experiences in the past but in this film we had a really nice time on the sets.”
No wonder, when the four girls were together on the sets, it was time for some fun, laughs, and of course selfies.
“Even Abbas-Mustan were surprised, They said that never before on their sets had they seen two actresses sitting, chatting and having so much fun,” she adds.
Now for the director duo that has worked with numerous actresses in many successful multi-starrers, this is quite an observation.
