Yash Pandit: I did play games but keeping my respect in place
Good looking Yash Pandit might have been banished from MTV Splitsvilla 8 (Colesceum and Balaji Telefilms) at the moment, but he definitely stood out among all with his calm attitude and down to earth nature.
Recently when we had caught up with the actor he shared a lot about his experience in the controversial reality show.
“When the channel approached me, I was a little surprised and apprehensive initially as I want sure about how things will go. But then I managed to convince myself as I wanted people to know who I was as a person. As an actor, you need to take risks and thus I took up the chance and I must say it was a great experience,” said Yash.
Splitsvilla is known for its controversial and content added to that the abusing contestants. Laughed Yash, “Even I had the same thought about the show in my mind, but then when I went into the game it was more than that. The series is all about competition, bonding, friendship and love.
Since Yash being a little older to the other contestants, we asked whether he was subjected to any discrimination. “No on the other hand I gelled extremely well with everyone. From the other celeb contestants to the non-celebs one, we all had a wonderful time bonding together. My only concern was that I won’t stop and let my image shatter. Since my family and friends were watching me, I made it a point to maintain my dignity throughout.”
We asked whether the show managed to help him discover him. “I am a survivor and knew how to make myself comfortable. Yes, I am a person who is usually into a shell and takes time to open up. But having interacted with these people, I did find out that you need to have certain openness in ones’ attitude. And lastly as they say you have to be Roman when in Rome, I did play games but keeping my respect in place,” said Yash.
And lastly talking about his future plans, the charming actor quipped, “There are few projects in line, and I am hoping something great comes up. I am open to both TV and films and just need a good concept and character.”
Wish you luck Yash!!!!
