Farhan Akhtar on Rock On 2 Battle With Abhishek Kapoor: Let The Court Decide

Brushing shoulders with Meryl Streep, being tweeted about by Melinda Gates – it’s not surprising that Farhan Akhtar’s lifestyle is one that many want to emulate. The actor has now been signed on as the brand ambassador of a menswear brand.

But, at the brand event, after a few style statements on who he admired style-wise – “I admire Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s sense of style,” and his ultimate fashion no-no, “I would never wear a scuba suit” – it was time to move to the topic of the day.

Rock On!! director Abhishek Kapoor has moved the Bombay High Court to stall the making of the sequel to the film, claiming that he had been working on it since September 2011 and accusing Farhan’s production house Excel Entertainment of giving writer Pubali Chaudhuri sole credit for the script.

Farhan, however, maintained that Abhishek and he were still friends. He said, “I would much rather the court decide since its gone there. I have nothing to say. He’s a friend of mine and I don’t want to talk about him in public.”

As far as Rock On 2 is concerned, Farhan says filming will begin in August and the movie will release next year.
