Actress Anupama Solanki, who has been part of shows such as Ye Hai Mohabattein and Dayan, says that it is very important to be patient and wait for your turn in the industry. The actress adds that hard work always pays off here.

“I think patience is key. The industry is competitive, but I believe if I keep working hard and improving, the right role will come. I focus on staying positive and trusting the process. It’s about believing that the right opportunity will arrive at the right time,” she says.

She adds, “Acting can definitely be tough emotionally and financially. There are times when things aren’t going as planned, but I remind myself why I started in the first place. I lean on my family and friends for support and keep my focus on the bigger picture. I know the struggle is part of the journey.”

Talking about rejections and rewards, she says. “Rejection is part of this industry, and I’ve learned not to take it personally. Every ‘no’ brings me closer to the right ‘yes.’ I try to stay focused on what I can control — improving my craft and staying true to myself. If something doesn’t work out, I trust there’s something better coming.”

She adds, “The most rewarding part is bringing a character to life and seeing the audience connect with it. It’s an amazing feeling to know that my work can make people feel something — whether it’s laughter, tears, or just a moment of joy. The love and appreciation from the audience always make it worth it.”

The actress says that she always chooses roles that satisfy her craft. “I believe there’s a balance to be found. Sometimes, practicality takes over, and we have to make decisions for financial reasons or personal growth. But I always try to choose roles that challenge me creatively, even if they don’t align perfectly with my dreams. It’s about finding the right balance between survival and staying true to your craft.”
