Fans of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 were eager to see the film’s lead stars, Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri, reunite on the big screen for another hit franchise, Aashiqui 3. This excitement grew when the look test was done and the mahurat shot was performed; everything was going smoothly when recently the film’s director, Anurag Basu, confirmed that Triptii would not be part of the project. The rumour quickly caught fire that the reason for the change in cast was due to Triptii being too exposed for the romantic film.

Reports suggested that her bold scenes in “Animal” became the reason for her departure from the film, as she was no longer a better choice for Aashiqui 3’s traditional portrayal of innocence and purity in its female leads. However, Anurag Basu recently addressed these ongoing rumours, shutting it up by denying any of the reasons given by the on-going reports. He says, “That’s not true,” further adding, “Triptii knows it too.”

Current situation of Aashiqui 3

Now with Tripti’s departure from the film, the makers have begun there search for the female lead of the film. The production of the film is expected to begin in January or February.

Take on The Situation

Triptii got the worth of her work from the film Animal, where she was seen with Ranbir. The overnight success did come with a price of endless criticism. She recently opened up in her conversation with Ranveer on TRS, where she told her experience of getting overnight fame from Animal, where she got to much criticism from the audience, which she had never faced before. Explaining her experience, she said that there were a toll of very “nasty comments.” “I used to cry a lot after Animal for at least two to three days. I never expected a criticism of this magnitude. With her contribution in cinema, she very well deserved the success, but sadly, that had to come from a role where her bold scene was the highlight, overshadowing her capability as an actress in general.
