Salman Khan Clears Controversy Over Involvement in The Great Indian Kapil Show Amid Legal Notice
Rumors of Salman Khan’s involvement in a legal controversy have surfaced after the Bongo Bhashi Mahasabha Foundation (BBMF) accused *The Great Indian Kapil Show* of disrespecting Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s legacy and offending cultural sentiments. Speculation grew that Salman’s production house, SKTV, was connected to the Netflix show. However, Khan’s representative quickly clarified that neither he nor his production company has any involvement in the show, distancing both from the recent legal dispute.
Clarification from Salman Khan’s Representative
A statement from Salman Khan’s team addressed the issue, affirming that neither the actor nor SKTV has ties with *The Great Indian Kapil Show*. They confirmed that SKTV has ceased its association with the series and is unaffected by the BBMF’s notice.
Dr. Mondal, president of the BBMF, expressed concerns about the show allegedly misrepresenting Tagore’s legacy, and the foundation sent a legal notice on November 1. In response, Parinam Law, representing Salman Khan’s BeingU Studios and comedian Kapil Sharma, denied the allegations on November 6, emphasizing the show’s comedic and fictional nature. They urged BBMF to retract the notice and cautioned against further escalation, stating that any additional legal action would be undertaken at BBMF’s own risk, as BeingU Studios is prepared to defend its position firmly.
