Ramayan Release Dates Revealed by Nitesh Tiwari, Starring Ranbir Kapoor: A Diwali Spectacle in 2026 and 2027

The  moment is finally here as Ranbir’s biggest project Epic Ramayan has been officially announced, revealing the release dates of the movie . The Saga will be released in 2 parts both have announced to release on the auspicious occasion of Diwali 2026 and 2027. Also there first poster has been released building anticipation.

Namit Malhotra recently unveiled the initial poster for an upcoming film featuring Kapoor, sharing it on Instagram. The design features the film’s title and a distinctive arrow pointing upward.

In the post’s description, Malhotra expressed, “Over a decade ago, I set out with a vision to bring an age-old epic that has captivated millions for millennia to the big screen. Today, it’s incredible to see this vision materializing, thanks to the relentless efforts of our dedicated teams. Our aim is singular: to create an adaptation that is authentic, profound, and visually striking, embodying our history, beliefs, and culture—our *Ramayana*—for audiences everywhere.”

He continued, “Be part of our journey as we bring this beloved epic to life, full of respect and pride… Part 1 is set for release in Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 in Diwali 2027. From our entire team working on *Ramayana*.”

According to a recent report by Pinkvilla, Ranbir Kapoor has completed approximately 90 percent of his role in *Ramayana: Part One*. Sources indicated that Kapoor invested significant effort in portraying Lord Ram, collaborating extensively with both the directors and producers. The same sources pointed out that efficient teamwork allowed the schedule to stay ahead of plan.

Meanwhile, Yash, known for his role in *KGF*, is slated to start his portrayal of Ravan in December 2024. This will follow the completion of major scenes for his current project, *Toxic*, directed by Geethu Mohandas.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, *Ramayana* has become one of the most eagerly awaited projects in Indian cinema. The anticipation was further heightened when the filmmakers announced an impressive cast, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sunny Deol, Kunal Kapoor, and Sai Pallavi, for this classic tale of good versus evil.

The film is produced by DNEG, with an exceptional musical score and soundtrack created by renowned composers AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer.
