EXCLUSIVE: Arshad Warsi believes social media influencers have no longevity; says, “There is no content, no solid talent to it”
Arshad Warsi, a prominent figure in Bollywood known for his roles in *Munna Bhai*, the *Golmaal* and *Dhamaal* franchises, and *Jolly LLB*, recently shared his thoughts on social media influencers and their growing impact on the entertainment industry. The actor, who will soon be seen in *Bandaa Singh Chaudhary*, sat down with Bollywood Bubble for an exclusive interview where he discussed various aspects of his career and the current trends in entertainment.
When asked about the rise of social media influencers, Arshad was candid in his response. He acknowledged the influence of these online personalities but expressed concerns about the substance of their content. He stated, “Social media influencers have gained popularity, but much of it feels manufactured. There’s no real content or lasting talent behind it.” While he admired the creativity of influencers, he was clear that, in his view, true longevity in the industry comes from genuine talent and hard work. “The only thing that lasts long is your talent and what you really have,” he added.
Arshad also credited OTT platforms for bringing actors and creative individuals back into the spotlight, offering them opportunities that extend beyond the manufactured popularity found on social media. He emphasized that while influencers may enjoy short-lived fame, their lack of depth in talent would limit their longevity in the industry.
In addition to this, the actor touched on his iconic role in *Munna Bhai* and the need for a third installment, addressing his typecasting in comic roles and the importance of diversifying his craft.
