Kangana Ranaut gets ‘Stop Work’ notice from BMC; Given 24-hrs ultimatum

Kangana Ranaut is one of the few celebrities who for some or the other reason always make headlines. This time too the ‘Queen’ actress has been all over the internet for her verbal duet with Maharashtra administration after which on Monday she shared some videos on her social media account to show her fans and followers that how the BMC officials have forcefully taken over her production house ‘Manikarnika Films’ in Mumbai.

In her tweet, the actress claimed to have all the papers of no illegal construction but still the BMC is demolishing her office. Later, her prediction of BMC demolishing her office were nothing but just a worry. However, on their inspection visit to her office, BMC officials didn’t bring a bulldozer but instead slammed a notice outside her office under section 354/ A of Municipal Corporation Act. The notice reads ‘stop the work’ as there is stated to be some kind of leakage in the office.

Meanwhile, if the reports are to be believed, the 14 points of BMC notice states that if Kangana fails to produce permission, then without any further notice, the building will be removed or pulled down. The list also claims that the construction is unauthorized.

Reacting to the BMC notice, which came after Kangana and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut’s verbal brawl, the actress tweeted, “Because of the criticism that @mybmc received from my friends on social media, they didn’t come with a bulldozer today instead stuck a notice to stop leakage work that is going on in the office, friends I may have risked a lot but I find immense love and support from you all.” Some time back when the officials had come for inspection, Kangana had tweeted, “I have all the papers, BMC permissions nothing has been done illegal in my property, BMC should send a structure plan to show the illegal construction with a notice, today they raided my place and without any notice tomorrow they demolishing entire structure.”

Receiving backlash for her sensitive comments on Mumbai Police, the ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’ actress also got a legal notice from a former Mumbai Police officer, seeking an apology from Kangana for her criticism against state Police. Reportedly, the former police officer has asked Kangana to justify her remarks or to be prepared to pay ‘damages’ for defamation.

Furthermore, Kangana has announced to return to Mumbai on September 9, amid the uproar over her ‘Mumbai POK’ and Mumbai new Taliban remark, however, she has also been given Y category security from the Centre after receiving online threats from Shiv Sena.
