B’wood’s sudden love for Sushant Singh is ‘ULTIMATE HYPOCRISY’: Saif Ali Khan

Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death not only shook the whole film fraternity but also the entire nation, leaving his fans, friends, and family mourning over his untimely death. After Sushant’s suicide, people are trying to put pieces of his death puzzle together. There are many loose ends that are to be found in this mystery. But as netizens, many film industry insiders; filmmakers and now celebrities are coming out openly talking about the hostile reality of Bollywood.

The latest to join the list is the big name of the industry, Saif Ali Khan, who has also stepped out to unravel the harsh reality of this glamorous world.

The sudden death of Sushant’s has left many questions unanswered and now people are coming out, venting their frustration and anger on social media. People are even blaming the ‘nepotism’ and ‘Bollywood politics’ an alleged cause of Sushant’s depression, resulting his tragic death.

As his fans along with some filmmakers have started calling out ‘Big industry people’ for their double standards, Saif Ali Khan also came out to criticize Bollywood’s ‘ultimate hypocrisy’. The nawab also feels the same and thinks that the sudden love for Sushant Singh Rajput after his demise from the film industry is ‘a little much to digest.’ He suggests that a day of silence or introspection would have been nice instead of pretending to extend fake care.

In a media interview, Saif called the news of Sushant’s death ‘just awful’ and said, “There are so many people who’ve made comments so quickly. And it just seems to me that people are somewhere gaining some mileage from this poor fellow’s tragedy, you know, whether it’s to show compassion or to show interest or to show some political stance. So many people are talking rubbish in this nonstop kind of barrage on social media and it’s just embarrassing, really, I think.”

“Out of respect for him, for Sushant’s tragedy, maybe a day of silence or introspection would be a little more becoming than this outpouring of love – an outpouring of love from people who obviously didn’t care about him and people who famously don’t care about anybody else,” he further added.

Saif bluntly said that industry doesn’t care about anybody and it’s pretending like the ‘ultimate hypocrisy’ which is an ‘insult’ to the actor. He said, “I mean, we don’t care about anybody. You know, it’s a very cutthroat line of work. But to pretend that you do care is like the ultimate hypocrisy and I think that’s an insult to the dead, you know, it’s an insult to the soul that’s gone.”

The nawab also talked about his tragic death, “We will all assume that this terrible thing happened to him because of his films. There is more to life. Maybe he was upset about other things in his life. Maybe it was a personal reason. Maybe it’s nothing to do with films. If you can’t see beyond that, you will put everything on that – the movies you do.”
