Priyanka Chopra’s kin robbed at knifepoint in Delhi
Cases of phone snatching has become too often in the India’s capital city New Delhi. Most recent to fall prey to it is the father of actress Meera Chopra, cousin of Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
Meera herself shared the details of how her father was robbed on a knifepoint when he was out for a walk. She also raised questions at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s claim of safe Delhi.
Tagging the Delhi Police, she wrote on Twitter, “@DelhiPolice my dad was taking a walk in #policecolony. 2 guys came in a scooter, showed knife and snatched his phone. This is how safe you claim delhi to be. @ArvindKejriwal @CPDelhi.”

She further wrote, “Fir no: NWD-MT-000568 at prince road near pcr police line, model town. Can send you the contact number in direct msg or some email.”
Delhi Police was swift enough to reply to her tweets. A tweet from the DCP North delhi read, “Pl give some more details/ contact number. Which police Colony is this?”
Meera, however, was pleased to see the prompt reply from the Delhi Police and she went on to praise them by saying, “Thanks @DcpNorthDelhi for such a quick action. Makes me proud when we feel protected by our police department. Its never abt what has been snatched but protecting our elders is most important! Respect @DelhiPolice”
