Tahira Kashyap REVEALS How Her Son Was Embarrassed Seeing Her Bald Post Cancer Treatment

Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap inspired several people who are fighting with cancer. Tahira with the support of her family fought cancer to the tilt and never gave up. Back in September last year, Tahira took to Instagram to reveal that she is diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer.

As Tahira underwent treatment for cancer, her hair started falling out, as a result, she had to save off her hair. In a recent interview, she talked about how embarrassed her son was when he saw her mother bald.

Tahir revealed that she knew that she’ll lose her hair post-chemotherapy but deep down she didn’t want to go bald. As in such kinds of situations, no one really knows how one should react to it. She also kept several scarfs and a wig ready as soon as she went for the chemotherapy, as she was not ready for going bald. She never imagined herself bald, as she comes from a school of thought which believes long hairs meant beauty.

Therefore when her extensions couldn’t hold on her hair, she decided to shave it off. She was happy with this decision but the same can’t be said about her little son, who was not happy seeing her mother with no hair.

Tahira added that her 7-year-old son asked her, “I have seen men going bald not women, why did it happen to my mother.” Her son even asked her not to meet his friends, but she did exactly opposite of it.

Tahira further added, “She met his friends and after meeting for 15- 20 mins, they realised everything is alright. That day I redefined beauty for them”
