The Lok Sabha Election 2019 is over with the last and final phase of the election taking place on May 19 last Sunday. The exit poll has given a clear majority to NDA government and predicting that PM Modi would get a second term. However, we need to wait for May 23 to know the final result, as exit polls are known to be proven wrong.
Amidst all this, PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Badrinath and Kedarnath created controversy. Just a day before the seventh phase of polling could end on May 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a two-day visit to Kedarnath and Badrinath. PM Modi was followed by media with his images and videos of the visit being live-streamed on almost all the news channels. Many opposition leaders even complaint about his spiritual visit to the Election Commission of India.
Pictures from Modi’s visit went viral and people started trolling him. Twitter was flooded with several memes and jokes. Former actress turned writer, Twinkle Khanna also took to the micro-blogging platform to take a dig at PM Modi. She shared an image with a caption that reads,
