Sanjay Dutt on re-uniting with Madhuri Dixit after 20 years for Kalank: I’ll try to work more with her

One can’t deny to the fact that Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit together use to set screen on fire with their sparkling chemistry in 90’s. After a long period of time once again this super hit jodi of 90’s will be sharing screen space in Karan Johar’s ambitious production Kalank. Yesterday teaser of ‘Kalank’ surfaced on internet and it is making noise for all the correct reasons.

At launch when Sanjay Dutt was asked to share how does he feel to team-up with Madhuri, Sanjay told reporters, “It felt good to work together after a long time. I’ll try to work more with her.” 

On being asked same question to Madhuri, actress said that, “We are working after more than 20 years. Recently, I worked with Anil after a long time. It’s always wonderful to work with actors you’ve worked with before. Even here, it was wonderful.” 

Many might not be aware of the fact that originally late actress Sridevi was approached for the role which eventually went to Madhuri. Commenting over the same Madhuri said, “When I was approached to do the role, I had a heavy by heart. She was a great artiste and a good human being. When you get a role, you do it your way. But, of course, we used to miss her everyday on set. Once you start work, you have to look beyond that and play your character to the best of your abilities.” 

Directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar, Kalank is scheduled to release on April 17. Apart from Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt, Kalank also stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur.
