Rohit Shetty wanted Taimur Ali Khan to promote Sara Ali Khan’s Simmba and his idea was totally genius

Within 4 days of its release Simmba has made Rs 96.35 crore at the box-office. On TV show – India’s Got Talent (IGT), Rohit, Sara and Ranveer had appeared together to promote their film. In the show, Sara was shown a photo of her half-brother Taimur tying her Rakhi on Rakshabandhan. Karan Johar, went on and on about Taimur’s popularity among netizen. During this conversation, Rohit Shetty revealed that he wanted to ask Sara to get Taimur to help out with the promotions of Simmba. Simmba director Rohit Shetty revealed that he had request Sara Ali Khan to get Taimur Ali Khan to wear a Simmba t-shirt for just a day – ‘Meri film ki opening lag jayegi,’ he had said.

That truly was a genius idea! Ranveer Singh too, in an earlier interview had expressed his desire to do a film with Taimur later on in his career, when the chote Nawab grows up. Apparently, Ranveer will be happy playing Taimur’s on-screen father. “Uss time pe role mujhe sirf Taimur ke daddy ka milega. Woh filmein kare, bahot saari filmein kare, aur har film mein main uske papa ka role karoon,” – Ranveer had said.
