Avengers: Age of Ultron to hit Indian screens a week before US release
Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit Indian theaters on April 24, a full week before it’s out in the U.S. Walt Disney India said the much awaited Marvel tentpole starring Robert Downey Jr. will be given the widest release ever for a Hollywood movie in India.
In addition to being released in English, the superhero film will be dubbed in regional languages such as Hindi, Tamil and Telegu, as is the case with any major Hollywood release in India.
Directed by Joss Whedon, the sequel to 2012’s The Avengers also stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgård, James Spader and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury .
It hits U.S. theaters May 1. It opens in the U.K. April 24.
With the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions releasing simultaneously along with the English version, the film is touted to be the biggest blockbuster this summer, read a statement.
In the film, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans will reprise their roles as Thor, Black Widow and Captain America, respectively.
The audiences will be treated to nail-biting action with the addition of Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), two more superheroes to the star studded franchise.
