Stree Box Office Collection: Rajkummar Rao And Shraddha Kapoor Starrer Exceeds The Expectations
Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Stree’ has hit the theatres on Friday (31st August). The horror-comedy is set on the backdrop of Chanderi. It’s about a female ghost who visits Chanderi to avenge her death. It is a different genre that is rarely explored in Bollywood and on its first day it has surpassed expectations. On day 1 Stree has collected Rs 6.82 crore in the domestic market.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: “When numbers do the talking… #Stree surpasses the expectations and estimations and posts a SUPERB number on Day 1… Biz is expected to multiply over the weekend… Fri Rs 6.82 cr. India biz… Hugely positive word of mouth has translated into BO numbers.”

The film which was released in the overseas market a day earlier, earned $6,353 (Rs. 4.49 lakhs) from 14 screens in Australia, while it earned $4,291 (Rs. 3.03 lakhs) from 6 screens in New Zealand (As per bollywoodhungama.com). According to Box Office India, Stree’s opening is the 12th highest of 2018.
Not only Rajkummar and Shraddha, other star cast like Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Abhishek Banerjee have done a superb job in the movie. Produced under the banner of Maddock Films and D2RFilms, the movie is directed by Amar Kaushik.
