IKEA Creates History With The Huge First Day Sale, The Amount Will Blow Your Mind
The Swedish furniture and kitchen store IKEA opened its first store in Hyderabad and received a thundering welcome, which might have shocked them. Lakhs of people from all over the country made their way to the store. The crowd was so big that it created heavy traffic jam and stampede. People waited for almost 4 hours in order to see the store.
IKEA also offers several products keeping in mind the middle-class Indian families. IKEA offers more than 1000 items under Rs. 200.
The brand new IKEA store has 3 sections featuring a furniture store, a marketplace hall, and a huge restaurant that has a seating arrangement of 1000 people. Hyderabad’s famous dish Hyderabadi Biryani is available at just Rs. 99, which is always a treat for the customers.
Amidst all the expectations and a huge crowd, we were wondering about how much IKEA earned on the first day. Now, a leading marketer Mahesh Murthy has given us the details of the same, which is seriously huge.
Murthy tweeted,
“Apparently @IKEA India did Rs. 2.4 crores (US$350,000) before lunch today in Hyderabad, including it seems Rs.11 lakhs in food. Might make it India’s no.1 restaurant, among other records :)”
