Saif Ali Khan on Sara’s debut film Kedarnath and its controversy: It bothered me
Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan is to make her Bollywood debut with the film Kedarnath. The movie is being directed and co-produced by Abhishek Kapoor and Sara and Sushant Singh Rajput will be seen playing the lead roles in the movie! The movie has been in the limelight since the recent times with its controversy fallout with one of their production houses, KriArj Entertainment.
The film run into trouble when a controversy erupted between film’s producer KriArj Entertainment and director Abhishek Kapoor as the two had an ugly fall out following which KriArj Entertainment moved to Bombay High Court last week to claim their rights on the film. Coming to Sara’s rescue were Saif’s good friends Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty who signed Sara for ‘Simmba’ opposite Ranveer Singh. However, Saif Ali Khan seemed quite worried about this entire controversy between ‘Kedarnath’ producer Prerna Arora and director Abhishek Kapoor.
Talking about the entire controversy, Sara Ali Khan’s father, Saif Ali Khan, said that he was quite distressed by the situation. He said, “I’ve been keeping track of it and, of course, it bothered me because I wanted things to go smoothly with her.”
Saif Ali Khan revealed that he took charge of the situation when things looked difficult. “I’m very happy that she now has a good film with Karan Johar. I was quite involved with her getting on board with Karan but after that, I can afford again to take a backseat. I’m here if she needs me,” he said.
After so many controversies the director has finally begun shooting for the last schedule of the film. Abhishek took to Instagram and shared a photo of a clap. Alongside the picture, he wrote “Game on! Kedarnath is all set to release on 30th November, 2018!
