Sridevi died by accidently drowning in the bathtub of a Dubai hotel on February 22. It was announced that Sridevi will be awarded with Best Actress title at 65th National Film Awards for her work in revenge-thriller ‘MOM’. Janhvi and Khushi accepted the National Film Award for late actor and their mother Sridevi at award ceremony.

Janhvi wore a beautiful pink and white kanjeevaram saree from Sridevi’s personal collection, designed by Manish Malhotra. Must say, she was looking carbon copy of Sridevi.
During award ceremony, Janhvi was spotted wiping sweat off from her father Boney Kapoor’s face in a photo. All of the sudden, this picture of Janhvi reminded us of Sridevi. Back down in memory lane, at an award function even Sridevi was spotted wiping sweat off from Boney Kapoor’s forehead.

The National Awards were presented by President Ram Nath Kovind, Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Minister Smriti Irani, Minister of State, I&B, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and I&B Secretary Narendra Kumar Sinha.
While accepting award on behalf of Sridevi, Boney Kapoor gave a short speech saying that,
“I am extremely happy and proud. This is what she’s got after working for 50 years in the industry; she would have cherished this award all her life. This is the highest honour. We miss her and today we miss her even more. I would have preferred, she going and accepting the award and me and my children sitting down and clapping for her,”
This speech of Boney Kapoor surely made everyone emotional. Actor Anil Kapoor congratulated and tweeted a heart warming message for Bonwy Kapoor and his children.
“Such a proud and heartwarming moment for all of us to watch these beautiful people accept an honour for the most incredible person there ever was! Sridevi. National Film Awards, Boney Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor,” Anil tweeted.
