Salman Khan’s 5-YEAR IMPRISONMENT Will Be A Massive Loss To Bollywood As Well As Television
A Jodhpur trial court has sentenced Salman Khan to five years of imprisonment in the 20-year-old blackbuck poaching case. The actor has also to pay a penalty of Rs 10000. Other actors like Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Sonali Bendre and Tabu are acquitted. It was during the shooting of ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’ the poaching case happened in Bhagoda ki Dhani in Kankani village near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Salman was charged under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and the other actors were charged under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act read with Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code.Many filmmakers who have signed movies with Sallu are in a quandary as more than Rs 500 crore is riding on him. So, Salman going behind the bars will incur huge losses to the film producers. He is working for ‘Race 3’ and the budget of the movie is around Rs 100 to Rs 120 crore. The producers are relieved that the shoot is completed and only the post-production stage is left.
Sallu has also signed Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bharat’. This will be Salman’s third movie with Ali after ‘Sultan’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. The budget of Bharat is around Rs 200 crore and this is also an Eid release 2019. He has also signed Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick 2’ and is expected to go on floors next year. Salman is also launching his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma in his movie ‘Loveratri’. He is spending approx Rs 100 crore in this movie.
Salman was signed for the third season of reality game show ‘Dus Ka Dum’. As per reports, he charged Rs 78 crore for 20 episodes of the show.
Salman’s 5-year of imprisonment will heavily affect these big-budget movies and television projects.
