Padmavati Landed In Trouble Once Again, JRS Warns That They’ll Burn The Theaters If The Movie Releases Without Approval
Padmavati has been making headiness ever since it was announced. Padmavati is the most ambitious project of acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Initially, it was making headlines for the casting. When shoot started, it landed in troubles. The Rajput Karni Sena assaulted the filmmakers during the shoot and they burned posters of the movie in Jaipur. They put a demand to the makers that the movie needs to pre-screen for Rajput and Hindu outfits.
Padmavati has been landing in troubles one after the another. The Rajput Karni Sena is joined by another group named Jai Rajputana Sangh. The JRS has issued a clear warning to the makers and the theater owners.
Now, the movie is once again back in the news for all the wrong reasons. Jai Rajputana Sangh has come in the support of Rajput Karni Sena and threatened the makers. According to the reports in a leading daily, the JRS has demanded that the makers of Padmavati screen the film for them before its release. The group wants to watch the movie first and see if anything objectionable is shown in the movie.
JRS has reportedly warned that if the movie is released without the pre-screening for Rajput Organizations, they will burn down the theaters and multiples showing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati.
Founder of JRS Bhanwar Sigh Reta said, “Our demand is that the filmmakers screen it to a panel of representatives from various Rajput organizations. We will only give them the go-ahead to release the film after we are satisfied that no scene insults queen Padmavati,”
The members of Jai Rajputana Sangh have already met with the management of many cinema halls and multiples and has conveyed their intentions.
Bhanwar Singh Reta further added, “We won’t tolerate any distortion of history and if any romantic relationship is shown between queen Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji, we will burn cinema halls screening the film,”
Talking about the strength of the Jai Rajputana Sangh, Bhanwar Singh said, “Our members are trained in handling a large array of weapons ranging from swords to AK 47 guns. We won’t let anyone dishonour Padmavati and insult the people of Rajasthan”
He further said that the warning letters have been sent to cinema halls even outside Rajasthan such as MP and Gujarat. He further states that the warning letters have been sent to almost 200 cinema halls in Rajasthan.
In the meantime, Union Information and Broadcasting minister, Smriti Irani has ensured the makers that the movie will be released without any problems. These groups have condemned her statement and show their anger by burning sculpture of Smriti Irani.
Padmavati is the most anticipated Bollywood movie of 2017. The movie is a period drama directed acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The movie features Deepika Padukone plays the titular role of Rani Padmini, whereas Shahid Kapoor plays her husband Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh plays Alauddin Khilji. The movie has been able to create huge curiosity among the fans. The trailer of the film looks amazing.
