The controversy surrounding the relationship of Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut has taken a whole new turn. For the first time in two years, Kaabil actor broke his silence on the highly publicized issue. This is also the first time the actor has discussed the matter directly.
Hrithik opened told the world his side of the story through a statement. He questioned the alleged affair between him and Kangana, saying it has “no trail left behind”. He even said how he felt compelled to put his side of the story in public, as he wanted to ” defend the truth because when truth suffers, the collective consciousness of society suffers…Closer to home, families suffer. Children suffer.”
Hrithik’s statement has surprised many including Bollywood celebrities, as the actor has been maintaining a dignified silence over the issue for almost two years. Hrithik and Kangana affair news broke out way back in March 2016.
Several Bollywood celebrities have reacted to the statement made by Hrithik Roshan. Celebrities like Sonakshi Sinha, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Farah Khan, Pooja Hegde, Yami Gautam Vishal Dadlani, Ritesh Sidhwani, Apurva Asrani and Terrence Lewis have come out in support of the actor.
Young actors like Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Pooja Hegde, Sonakshi Sinha and Yami Gautam took their Instagram profile to support Hrithik Roshan. Whereas others like choreographer turned filmmaker Farah Khan, director Vikram Bhatt and producer Ritesh Sidhwani have appreciated the actor for his statement.
While replying to the actor’s Tweet, Vikram Bhatt wrote, ” Hrithik is a shy person, he cannot hack anyone’s account.”
Appreciating the actor, director Farah Khan said in a statement, ” I’m really happy that he’s done that, I think its high time that he adressed the issue. This is because I know Hrithik for almost 18 years now. He was very young when we did ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ together, I’ve seen him since then and I know him to be really honest and a person of integrity. And I do know his family really well, my kids study in the same school as his and he is a great father. He’s there for every PTA, for every annual day. So if he claims something, I don’t think it can be taken frivolously. There has to be seriousness and depth in what he’s saying. So I’m happy that he’s finally taken this step because I’ve been a feminist before the word was invented and I truly believe in gender equality and I feel in this case I was appalled because the only thing is that if a man had done this or spoken like this or had tweeted like this he would be behind bars right now. I’m glad and its high time he did this. The truth for him is very important because its complete character destruction of somebody. People always want to just believe the worst of anybody. So its high time he provided whatever he has I’m glad that he has. ”
Writer Apurva Asrani has also supported the actor by Tweeting, ” As a man who has suffered psychotic behaviour in the guise of feminism, I unequivocally stand with #HrithikRoshan.”
Hrithik Roshan issued a statement through a social media post on the issue of his affair with Kangana Ranaut. The actor did it in a very dignified manner without even mentioning the name of the actress. The actor is receiving lots of supports from fans as well as Bollywood celebs.
