Distributors Send SOS To SRK And DEMAND For A Refund After “Jab Harry Met Sejal” FLOPPED Badly!
Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s Jab Harry Met Sejal was the most anticipated films of the year. Unfortunately the film did not start off well and moreover it flopped miserably at the box office. People did not like Imtiaz Ali’s creation and the distributors have faced immense losses too.
What’s more shocking is that the distributors who purchased rights for JHMS were also involved with Tubelight and had to incur losses with Salman Khan’s Tubelight as well. They had purchased the distribution rights from JHMS for Rs 80 crore and Tubelight for Rs 132 crore.
Salman Khan being the generous man that he is decided to refund part losses to the distributor as a noble gesture. As per media reports, they have now sent an SOS to Shahrukh Khan to follow Salman Khan’s footsteps and refund the money. They believe that SRK has made good profits from the pre-sale of All India Rights of the film to NH Studioz, the satellite, music and digital rights of JHMS.
This demand has been made as Shahrukh Khan has previously made a refund of Rs 25 crore to the distributors after Dilwale flopped horribly. Not only that, his major films like Ashoka and Paheli flopped too for which refunds were provided.
What do you think? Should Shahrukh Khan bear the losses or not? Let us know in the comments below
