Salman Khan Rubbishes Rumors Of Backing Out From Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar Film!
Three heavyweights of Bollywood, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar took to Twitter last year to annouce that they were coming together to work on a project. The film was to be produced by Salman and Karan and star Akshay in the lead and reportedly based on the Battle of Saragarhi. Since the trio had announced a project together, which was scheduled to roll out in 2018, it had left movie buffs excited as they knew something exemplary was in store for them. However, grapevine has been abuzz lately with rumors of Salman backing out of the project because of the tiff between his good friend Ajay Devgn and filmmaker KJo.
On a related note, Rajkumar Santoshi is also making a film on the same subject with Randeep Hooda in the lead and reportedly so was Ajay Devgan!
Some reports that surfaced few weeks ago made claims of ajay writing an emotional letter to Salman requesting him to back out of his project with KJo and Akshay as the topic is rather close to Ajay Devgn’s heart and he had also announced earlier that his film on the Battle of Saragarhi would be his next outing as producer after ‘Shivaay’. As of Sunday, news of Salman backing out of the project with Akshay and KJo began to make rounds but instead of a lengthy explanation, Salman Khan promptly took to his social media platforms to slam the fake news reports:
Ever since the clash of ‘Shivaay’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, things went downhill between Karan and Ajay-Kajol. Bollywood saw one of its biggest fallouts when Karan and Kajol decided to turn their backs on each other after Kajol sided with her husband in the tiff. Confirming the fallout KJo mentioned in his biography ‘The Unsuitable Boy’ that he would neve be patching up with Kajol and Kajol had a rather diplomatic and aloof response when asked about the fallout. she was quoted saying, “Relationships are always hard to carry, no matter what.”
Meanwhile, the project is scheduled to begin right after Salman and Akshay wrap up their respective films and is most likely to hit theatres in 2018. Salman will appear in ‘Tubelight’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ while Akshay has ‘PadMan’, ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’, Enthiran sequel and many other films in his kitty, including ‘Mogul’, a biopic on the life of Gulshan Kumar who’s first look poster Akshay revealed today on his social media platforms.
