Remake of the 1980s film, The Shaukeens opened to a dull response at the box office. The movie, even though boasts of having Akshay Kumar, does not have more than an extended cameo done by the actor. So, bereft of a lead actor the movie struggled at the box office on Day 1. The film collected 5 crores at the box office on day and is looking towards a 18 crore or so first weekend.
