Dance Plus 2 : 14-Year-Old Tanay Malhara Wins The Second Season Of The Show!
The grand finale of the dance reality show, Dance Plus 2, took place on Sunday night, 25th September and Maharashtra’s Tanay Malhara emerged as the winner of the show.
The super judge of the show, choreographer-director, Remo D’Souza and the captains, Shakti Mohan, Dharmesh Yelande and Punit J Pathak announced the name of Tanay as the winner of the second season of Dance Plus.
Tanay was known for his flexible moves and his way of emoting on the stage. He was applaused by the judges as well as the audience for all his performances and he truly deserves the title of the winner.
On winning the show, the extremely talented dancer said, “Winning this show was a very big surprise. I didn’t know so many people out there have been supporting me. Most importantly, Dharmesh sir has supported me throughout and I dedicate my win to him.”
Tanay went on to express his heartfelt gratitude to the captains Shakti Mohan and Punit J Pathak as well for their constant motivation and support. Seems the mentors had already seen how immensely talented is the kid!
Ecstatic as he must be, Malhara seemed to be proud of himself as he said, “The shining moment was when they all said, ‘Being a 14-year old boy, you deserve to be the next dance icon of the nation’.” Well, we think so too! You have a long way to go, boy! 😉
Ranbir Kapoor, who was promoting his upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Sakshi Malik, the Olympics bronze winning wrestler, were also present at the finale to motivate the contestants.
The 14 year old Tanay Malhara was presented with the trophy along with a cash prize of Rs. 25 lakhs and a car. Malhara was contesting against Wild Rippers crew, Piyush Bhagat and Sushant Khatri in the finale and he emerged victorious among them.
Remo D’Souza, the super judge of the show, thinks Tanay will “inspire the nation that age and size don’t matter if you are just born to dance and have sheer will to continue that.”
He also added that all the finalists will be a part of his next, ABCD 3.
