Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra had approached Harshvardhan for Mirzya 3 years ago but the actor had initially said no to the offer. He wanted to pursue his career as a film-maker and even assisted Anurag Kashyap on Bombay Velvet. But if we look at it now, we can say good things take time. And finally, we have Harshvardhan in and as Mirzya! Seems Mehra could foresee that the young actor would consider acting at some point of his life.
