The Udta Punjab actress was being considered to fill in Kareena Kapoor’s shoes following Bebo’s pregnancy.
We have it that Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter is not just being ‘considered’ for the role now — she has almost been finalised. Around 2 pm today, Alia’s manager Reshma Shetty visited Rohit’s Andheri office with her client’s detailed profile. Not that anyone needs a portfolio to understand Alia’s calibre and potential, least of all Rohit, but Reshma decided to get strictly professional about it.
The conscientious star manager, who boasts heavyweights like Salman Khan in her clientele, spent a couple of hours with the Singham director. A little birdie tells us that the duo discussed matters like Alia’s role, remuneration and co-stars.
After Alia’s debut film Student of the Year (2012) hit theatres, many had said that she resembles Poo (Kareena) from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). In fact, some had even started calling her Mini Bebo.
Early this year, Rohit had announced that he will start shooting for the next instalment in the Golmaal series later this year.
