There were rumors that Deepika Padukone and boyfriend Ranveer Singh got engage d and were planning to tie the knot. However, Padukone has put the rumors to rest.
The âBajirao Mastaniâ actress, who walked as the showstopper for designer Manish Malhotraâs collection at FDCI India Couture Week 2016, said this was the âright opportunity to clarify.â
âI think this is the right opportunity for me to clarify… There is no such plan anytime soon. I am not pregnant, I am not engaged, I am not married. I am not planning to get married anytime soon,â Padukone told reporters here.
Talking about the showstopper outfit she was donning, Padukone said: âEvery bride wants to look her best on her wedding day and whenever I do…â
A tabloid report had claimed earlier this month that Deepika and Ranveer got engaged a few months back in the presence of their parents. The same report also suggested that the couple is not likely to marry soon, since Deepika doesnât want to tie the knot for the next two years.
