Sonu Sood has been invited by the organisers of Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) in China.
After wrapping up Jackie Chan’s forthcoming film, Kung Fu Yoga, Sonu is all set to promote the Indo-Chinese production at the coveted international film festival to be held in June this year.
The fitness enthusiast who has extensively shot for the action-drama in China will be one of the most popular Indian actors to make his presence felt at China’s biggest film festival.
Sonu, who will be sharing the screen space with the international action star Jackie Chan for the first time, is looking forward to promoting the Stanley Tong’s directorial venture at the festival to be held for three days. The makers of Kung Fu Yoga will kickstart their movie promotions with SIFF.
A source says, “Kung Fu Yoga is very special to Sonu not just because it’s his debut Indo-Chinese production but also the fact that it gave him the opportunity to work alongside his favourite action star Jackie Chan, with whom he shares a great rapport. Sonu will take time out from his busy schedule to promote the movie.”
Sonu says, “I am excited about attending the festival. I am really looking forward to meeting Chan again. I will visit the Jackie Chan Film Gallery. Also, Chan had promised that we will have lots of vegetarian food whenever I travel to Shanghai. So, I am excited about that as well.”
