8 Points Why Bajrangi Bhaijaan Is More Successful Than Bahubali

Both ‘Baahubali’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ are doing amazing business in the domestic markets and outside. It has been nerve wrecking box office bursting weeks from the time these two movies got released. But equating a Telugu film ‘Baahubali’ with a Hindi film is not as simple and straight forward as matching two Hindi films. There are so many factors that discriminate the two film industries. We have listed some of the most important factors below. Lets find out why Bajrangi Bhaijaan is More successful than Bahubali

1. Entertainment Tax

 There has been ‘HUGE’ difference between entertainment taxes for Hindi movies and Telugu or any other regional film. For example Maharastra, Hindi films pay about 50% as entertainment tax though it varies depending on ticket prices, while Marathi films are tax free for the state. For example, if 10,000 tickets of Marathi and Hindi language films are sold at Rs 300 each, the net collections of Marathi film will be Rs 30 Lakhs, while the gathering of Hindi films will be just Rs 15 lakhs as about 50% goes in the direction of entertainment tax to the management. For Hindi films, entertainment taxes differ from state to state. Telugu films are charged 15% entertainment tax in home place, while the same tax as Hindi films would be possible outside Andhra territory that includes dubbed versions.
