7 Bollywood Actors Who Rocked Ganapati Songs

1) Salman Khan Tera hi Jalwa- This was the film that brought in a paradigm shift at the movies. With more and more action entertainers being made, Salman Khan’s Wanted is to be given credit. And for all those who felt Salman cannot dance, Prabhu Dheva changed the entire scenario by making Sallu miyaan show his Jalwa to a high-tempo ‘Tera Hi Jalwa’ track with the Ganpati festival forming the perfect backdrop in the film. 2) Shah Rukh Khan in Mourya Re- An introductory song for his second character in the film Don, it could not have been better for SRK. He danced his way to glory in the Mourya Re number and for years, the song has been a favourite in the Ganpati playlist. 3) Hrithik Roshan in Deva Shree Ganesha- Possibly the first song that comes to your mind when you think of Ganpati songs, Hrithik Roshan’s Deva Shree Ganesha comes at an important juncture in the film as well. And it creates an impact like never before. That’s why maybe it’s still the crowd favourite when it comes to Ganpati pandals. We’re sure you will be listening to pandals playing this song on a loop for the coming few days. 4) Amitabh Bachchan in Shree Ganeshay Dheemahi- Nuanced and subtle, this Ganpati chant of sorts had Big B and Sharmila Tagore performing the Ganesha aarti. Sans any naach gaana, they proved that for any Ganpati song, what you need is the feel, the essence. 5) Varun Dhawan in Ganaraya-The only Gen-Y actor to have danced to a Ganpati song is Varun Dhawan. His last release ABCD 2 had the most well-choreographed Ganpati song in the last few decades. A film that revolves around dance was incomplete without the traditional Ganpati flavour and the makers decided to have Ganaraya, a perfect Ganpati dance number that not only amplifies the pace of the film but also takes the story forward towards a powerful culmination. Much like their prequel. 6) Namrata Shirodkar and Sanjay Dutt in Sindoor lal chadayo- This inspirational Ganesh aarti played towards the pre-climax of Sanjay Dutt-starrer "Vaastav" also marked the downfall of the criminals in the film, keeping with Vinayak's reputation of defeating the evil. The beautiful track which has a fervent Marathi flavour to it, was composed by Jatin-Lalit and sung by Ravindra Sathe. 7) Madhuri Dixit in Ganapati Bappa Agle Baras Tu: This beautiful song from the 1993 hit "Aasoo Bane Angaarey" celebrated Madhuri Dixit's dance at a Ganesh Chaturthi procession. The song directed by Rajesh Roshan has been immortalised in the legendary voice of Lata Mangeshkar.
