Kader Khan’s son lashes out at Govinda- says Indian cinema has “Fragmented camps and loyalties”

Legendary actor and a skilled dialogue writer – Kader Khan’s death on New year has left many shattered including his fans and people from the film fraternity who worked for him.

Kader’s Khan demise left the entire nation in grief. Soon the condolences started pouring in from all corners of the film industry with many celebs fondly reminiscing their association with Kader Khan.

However, Kader Khan’s son Sarfaraz also spilled bitterness while talking about how the film industry neglected him after he moved to Canada to live with his three sons.

Among others who he lashed out at was Govinda who yesterday paid an emotional tribute to the “ustaad” and “father-figure”.

Kader Khan’s son Sarfaraz who has portrayed in films like ‘Tere Naam’, ‘Wanted’ and ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara’,says that the Indian cinema has too many “fragmented camps and loyalties” and it has an “ out-of-sight-out-of-mind mentality can’t be helped.

Govinda took to his Instagram handle by paying a tribute to the legendary actor and well skilled script writer. He wrote that the late actor was like a “father figure” to him. But Sarfaraz had something to share with the media.

He said to the media, “ Please ask Govinda how many times he inquired about his father’s figure health. Has he even bothered to call us even once after my father’s demise ? There are no feelings for those who have contributed to the Indian cinema when they are no longer active.”

Govinda and Kader Khan co-starred in several films including,’Haseena Maan Jayegi’,’Hero No 1′, ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Sajan Chale Sasural’ and ‘Coolie No 1’ among others.

Well, Sarfaraz said that among his colleagues, Kader Khan remembered Amitabh Bachchan fondly in his final days.

“There are so many people in the film industry whom my father was close to. But the one person that my father loved the most from the film industry was Bachchan saab ( Amitabh Bachchan). I had ask my father whom he missed the most from the film industry and the answer promptly would be Bachchan saab and I know the love was mutual. I want him to know that my father spoke about him till the end.”Sarfaraz told media publications.

Not only that, Kader Khan also had written several blockbuster dialogues for the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan.

Amitabh bachchan 1970s – 80s films made by Manmohan Desai and Prakash Mehra like ‘Coolie’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and ‘Agneepath’ and others.

Further David Dhawan too commented : “ As a writer, he made every hero sound credible and spectacular. Just look at Bhaijaan’s (Kader Khan) contribution to Amit ji (Amitabh Bachchan’s) on-screen persona.”

While talking to Sarfaraz he said, ”The funeral was surrounded by his close family members and he had a ‘smile on his face’ as he died. I cherish that smile more than anything else in the world. My father’s final years were very painful for him. He suffered from a degenerative disease that left him completely without the will to do anything. He got the best possible medical care in Toronto.”

My father has contributed so much to Hindi cinema. We intend to honour his memory in a substantial and relevant way. At the moment we’re all mourning his going. But I can assure his fans all over the world that we won’t let the film industry forget him.”

Kader Khan funeral was held in Canada today and he was buried in a cemetery in Toronto.
